Testimonials

Dr. Norrie and his staff are and always have been extremely accommodating, cooperative and courteous to me and my family. I highly recommend Dr Norrie to everyone and especially to those who, like me, harbor trepidation to outright fear of dentists. He’s extremely gentle, does a wonderful job in keeping pain to a minimum and treats his patients with care and respect. He’s been my dentist for over 10 years now so I have extreme confidence in him and his staff.

-Mark

The best dentist I have ever gone to. He is a perfectionist so your teeth turn out right. I don’t think I have ever gone back for a second adjustment on any of his work. He did a fabulous job on my teeth when I fell and hit the bumper of my car with my mouth and four of my upper front teeth were pushed back a ways. He was there to take care of me right away (well he is my son) so I think we have saved those front teeth. I am not saying all of these good things because he is my son. I have experienced a really “good dentist”. I have had much dental work done by him and we are now working on implants. Terrific dentist, Dr. Daniel Norrie.

Teeth Whitening

Smoky Hill Dental provides take-home teeth whitening treatments that can dramatically lighten the shade of your teeth to give you a dazzling smile. Because teeth whitening has become such a popular treatment, there are a number of different over-the-counter kits available to you. However, choosing to have your whitening treatment monitored by experts such as Dr. Daniel Norrie  will improve the quality of your results beyond measure.

Porcelain Veneers

If the small imperfections in your teeth are keeping you from having a flawless smile, ask us about porcelain veneers. These thin, yet durable shells of porcelain cover the front surfaces of the teeth to change their shape, length, spacing, and color. Our cosmetic dentistry practice has been providing veneers to Centennial, Southeast Aurora, and Colorado patients for many years, and we are confident that this treatment can make you feel great about your smile.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is an effective treatment that can help conceal minor imperfections in your smile. Bonding uses composite resin that is color-matched to the natural shade of your enamel, and can be used to reshape, restore, or improve the appearance of your teeth. The procedure can typically be completed in under an hour, and patients are generally very happy with the results of their bonding treatment.

Smile Makeover

If more than one treatment is necessary to giving you the perfect smile you deserve, we can customize a complete smile makeover plan for you. By artfully combining cosmetic dentistry procedures, we can create a dazzling new smile that is unique to you. If you have questions about smile makeovers or any of our other services, contact onveniently located in Centennial, near Southeast Aurora and Denver.

Smoky Hill Dental is the best option for your Invisalign® treatment because Dr. Norrie has  the education and experience necessary to give you the best results possible. If you are interested in Invisalign® and would like to speak with us about your orthodontic options, contact our office, conveniently located in Centennial, near Southeast Aurora and Denver.

Understanding the Procedure

Smoky Hill Dental will spend quality time with you during your initial consultation to establish your customized care plan. Digital X-rays, photographs, and impressions will all be used to determine the course of treatment that will provide you with the best results. Your impressions will be sent to an Invisalign® laboratory where your aligners will be created. When your aligners arrive back at our Southeast Aurora office, we will bring you in to try them in, and answer any questions you may have. Once you begin treatment, your aligners should be worn for 20 to 22 hours a day. Every two weeks, you will switch your current set of aligners out to the next in the series, which will allow you to progress further toward your final results. We will meet with you approximately every six weeks to assess your progress.

The Benefits

Invisalign® offers a number of benefits, including:

Candidacy

Virtually anyone who has overlapping or crooked teeth can undergo Invisalign® treatment. However, you and Dr. Norrie  will use your consultation to discuss in detail whether you are a candidate, and what kind of results you can expect.

Learn More about Invisalign®

Years of hard work, experience, and continuing education have helped Dr. Norrie and our Smoky Hill Dental staff become some of the best in cosmetic dentistry. Our Invisalign® treatment is just one excellent example of the fantastic changes we can make for you. If you have crooked teeth and want to avoid the metal brackets and wires involved with traditional orthodontics, contact our Centennial & Southeast Aurora practice about Invisalign® today.

If you have one or more teeth that have been weakened, damaged, or decayed, contact Smoky Hill Dental today to schedule a consultation with Dr. Norrie to discuss your candidacy.

Understanding the Procedure

As with any of our procedures, we will begin by going through a detailed examination and consultation to establish the scope of your treatment. If you have any questions or concerns, this appointment is a great time to address them.

Dental Crowns

When you have single teeth that need restoring, dental crowns are used. Preparing your teeth for dental crowns involves removing any damaged or decayed enamel and making room for the crown. An impression of the prepared tooth will be made and sent off to Glidewell Laboratories, where your permanent restoration will be made utilizing state-of-the-art technology. We use digitally constructed crowns and bridges.  We offer multiple types of dental crowns, including solid “white porcelain” Bruxzir & Emax brands.  In the meantime, Dr. Norrie will place a temporary restoration to maintain the aesthetics of your smile.

Within a few weeks, your dental crowns will be sent back to our office in Centennial & Southeast Aurora and will be ready to be tried in. We take a digital x-ray to ensure a precise fit of your tooth.  Once the fit and color of your crowns have been double checked, we will clean, polish, and gently buff your tooth to create an optimal bonding surface. The crown will then be permanently cemented.

Dental Bridges

The procedure to place dental bridges involves using the two teeth surrounding a gap to anchor an artificial tooth. The two anchor teeth will be prepared as if receiving a crown and the group of porcelain restorations will be cemented in.

The Benefits

Dental crowns and bridges are reliable solutions for dental problems caused by accidents, disease, or excessive wear and tear. We use the highest grade porcelain crowns to ensure that our repairs are high quality.

Many patients experience pain in their back teeth which is generally due to hairline cracks in the cusps, or biting surfaces. Using crowns or bridges on these teeth will relieve the pain and make your bite function naturally again.

Fillings on your front teeth can weaken them, and may be unattractive. Dental crowns or bridges can be used to restore your ability to chew and speak, in addition to improving the aesthetics of your smile.

Learn More about Dental Crowns

If you have teeth that are cracked, chipped, broken, or discolored, Dental crowns may be for you. Our Centennial & Southeast Aurora dental practice can create a custom-fit restoration that will match your smile and restore the form and function of your bite. If you would like to meet with us, please contact Smoky Hill Dental today to schedule a consultation.

Dental Implants

It is important that you seek treatment for missing teeth as soon as possible after you lose them. Dental implants are strong titanium screws that are surgically placed deep within your jaw where they act as artificial tooth roots. Dental implants are then restored using natural-looking crowns and bridges to reestablish the structure, function, and appearance of your smile.

Root Canal Therapy

When the pulp within your tooth becomes infected or inflamed, it can leave you feeling debilitating pain and discomfort. Root canal therapy involves cleaning out the affected pulp and filling the canal with a protective substance. Because your oral health is directly related to your overall health, it is important to contact Dr. Norrie immediately if you believe you may need root canal therapy.

Full-mouth Reconstruction

For patients who have a number of dental conditions that need to be addressed, we can masterfully combine reconstructive dentistry services into a comprehensive, full-mouth reconstruction plan. Our Centennial & Southeast Aurora dental professionals have mastered the architecture of the mouth and can rebuild your smile into a thing of beauty.

Tooth-colored Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings offer a number of advantages over metal fillings. These composite fillings bond to the tooth for added durability and strength. In addition, unlike metal alloys, the composite resin material will not result in allergic reactions. Finally, there are the aesthetic benefits: tooth-colored fillings blend in flawlessly with your natural teeth, allowing people to admire your smile, and not notice your dental work.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and onlays can be used to restore strength and structure to damaged teeth. This type of restoration is typically used to treat decay that requires more than a filling, but does not call for a dental crown. Inlays and onlays are crafted in a laboratory for a custom-fitting design that enhances and restores your smile.

Dentures

Our practice offers several types of dentures to restore function and aesthetics to your bite. From traditional, removable prosthetics to implant-supported dentures, our doctors can help you find the right restoration for your smile. Many of our dentures can be crafted from beautiful materials that look extremely lifelike and are virtually indistinguishable from your natural teeth.
